RE: camping
Camping is the most relaxing work I have ever enjoyed, if that makes any sense. I just love the whole thing planing, packing, setting up camp, cooking etc. I always hate leaving that is the bad part Our family is small myself my husband the dog and most of all our daughter. She is 23 years old and just happends to be handicapped both physically and mentally. Over the years we have enjoyed encouraging her to participate in camp life. This past year she began kayaking in a tandem kayak with her Dad, she also got a new tricycle and enjoyed using it while camping. We have had time to relax and grow as a family as well as make new friends. Some of our best friends are people we have met while camping. All I can say is what is not to like! Good luck with your project and Happy Caamping to everyone, ugh! We have to wait for spring now!:)

It is a very small campground kinda pretty. I have only been there for day trips never camped there. The surrounding area is beautiful and would be awesome in the fall, espeically if you enjoy farms, apple picking etc. There is a very nice hike a few miles away on the same road it is called Vrooman's Nose, try it if you do go. Anyway where are your favorite state parks? Most of mine are in the Adirondacks Sacandaga in the fall and Fish Creek in June!

Sorry we did not say good bye, we left just as the rain stopped. I geuss I didn't get to spend much time with all of you. Those we did meet all seemed like a great bunch of people. I seemed to have pulled a muscle or something in my knee and was hobbling around after my debut on the dance machine. Hey I out danced my 16 year old miece. We enjoyed the weekend and hopefully we return next year with a site closer, so let us know when and we will be there.

Hi everyone,
We have been busy all summer, you won't believe it we have been camping! It was not a typo, we are a growing family!Anyway we all will be there friday!
By all I mean Bellatear that is Mary,Tom, Laura and our very Big Dog Cheyenne
Marys Brother- Mike his wife Maggie and three kids Justin 15 Carli 13 and Jenna 7 Doggy Mc Duff
Toms brother Jim his wife Dianne definatly there soon to be 16 year old daughter Amy and maybe there 15 year old son Matthew, Jessica will not attend she thinks camping sucks. She has a lot to learn about life! Maybe the dogs Sam and Double stuff!
If you are selling wood we will be in need of some? Let us know? See you all Friday afternoon!

Hi Joanne,
The count is correct for us as well, my husbands side of the fsamily is also coming to the rally. They will be in site D, 2 adults and two teenagers. That is why we have so many coming to bkfst, 11 adults and 1 child total.
We are anxiously awaiting the rally. Has anybody been to the campground before and can they tell us how the river is for kayaking? Is there a local place to rent a kayak??????????????????? See you all soon Mary

With most of our longest trip past us already we are looking forward to the rally next. Sir Buffalo, LAura is still laughing about her wheelchair ride that your pup gave her!She would love to see her again and we would love to have you join the group. Today my brother bought a new used pop up so he almost has a hybred,we are all excited. Planning on a trip to Moffets Beach in Speculator for the 4th and then the rally. See you then!

Wow my life long dream has always been to see the country espeically the National Parks. Now I am going to have to add the Pacific Coast those picttures are beautiful! I have seven years to go and we will be off on that adventure, retirement will make it happen for me. Enjoy take it slow and let us know the best places to see.

We are waiting impatiently for our maiden voyage in the new RV. Next week we are of to Watkins Glen and Corning NY It has been a very long wait for our 1st outing in the new Rv! I am hoping the snow is melted and the water is flowing beautifully in the gorge! Woo hoo!

Well I just wrote a long note to post and lost the whole thing before I could send it off. I was just grumbling about the snow.( mostly) anyway I just watched the deer cross my road and noticed they looked a little irrated them selves as they lept over the snowbanks on their way to finding some food.I bet it has been a long winter for them as well. We have been away from the message board, with all the shoveling and the like.. I cant wait for spring.. I know the calender say's its spring, but I need a little more than that ! We have been also modifying the new Jayco. I changed the steps, the handrail and did some modifications to the microwave. Yes the microwave, is no longer part of the Jayco. We opted to use the space for storage so I built a new cabinet door and made it so!Mary has been busy accessoring the rig (when shes not listening to me groan about the snow that is)We are getting close to being ready.
We are just hoping to get some warm weather here to make us feel like spring...
Hope all of you are doing good.. Can someone help me find where I left off on the board. Last thing I remember is someone asking what we would like to have for dinner apon arrival I think.. Not sure what page that was..I look forward to meeting you all. I just hope we won't have to shovel off our sites when we get there ! LOL Tom & Mary from snowy Greenfield New York !

Well Tom cleared the snow off the zeppelin so we can pick up our new Jayco, it is only a matter of time before we are out enjoying spring. Our 1st trip is planned for April 18th, we will be going to the Corning KOA here in NY. If I knew of a campground open sooner we would probably be there. I have the itch, maybe its the new camper but I think it is all the snow, ugh! Will it ever stop!

Ok I think it is time we introduce ourselves, since we have signed on for the rally. We live less than an hour from the campground so we didn't even need to take a weekend off. My name is Mary, my husband is Tom and our very special daughter is Laura! We are avid campers and love to spend time in the Adirondacks, it is our dream to retire and explore the old west, the sooner the better but not likely for another 7 years. We are looking forward to meeting all of you. Tom, Laura and I have been married for 3 years now, that is correct when I married Tom Laura became mine, she is mentally and physically handicapped and a very good girl! My best buddy as a matter of fact. I could go on but I will leave some secrets as we might just be more interesting that way! As for the breakfast what do you think if we brought a variety of cereals and milk??? And I love to use my dutch oven when I am camping so I will do something over the fire for the potluck, maybe Mexican lasagna or beef stew?

Sorry Mark my brother in-law is on site G.. He didn't get back to us in time to be next to us...But he is close enough. We have in the past stayed on the same site, and that time the owners didn't mind ( we asked). as long as they paid for the site. we just parked our cars on it instead. Not sure if that will ever happen again, but we might ask. Anyway I was joking with Mary about the trailer. The entire statement came while we were just watching TV (Timing is everything)I casually brought it up by saying I understand it when a women might look at another man and that it was a normal thing, then I sprang on her. But if I ever catch her even looking at another trailer it was grounds for divorce ! LOL This is our third trailer in 2 years !!! WSe started with a tear drop, then a Hybred, and now this 213... And no we still look at other trailers, but not to buy, EVER !

Looks like you will not only get to meet us but my brother Mike his wife maggie and there three kids will be joining us! I believe they are on site H. They will be tenting. I have turned them into kayakers so they were excited about camping on the river. I did email the campground about putting the kayak in on the site but they have yet to respond. We can't wait either. In June we will be camping with a group of teardroppers, we have been going to that rally for 4 years now and have made some very good friends. We hope to do the same with all of you. Now all we have to do is wait and wait and wait! Tom has now banned me from RV shows so all I can do is wait,LOL!

Well we did it, My wife and I got another vehicle an 04 Durango rated to tow 7500 lbs and a new Jayco feather. We went to Campers world after we picked up the car and went to Albany RV to pay off the new trailer. We bought a new electric brake control and a few other "essentials". With everything we have bought, I fail to see how I can stimulate the economy any more from here ! I think I will apply my incentive rebate check to buying fuel to go someplace instead ! Cant wait to meet you all.. Tom
Well anyway if you have not seen a jayco 213 I posted a picture of one on our profile. AS usual we have freezing rain again ! Hard to feel like camping right now, I wish it was spring !
